Astrea Academy Sheffield, Longsands Academy and St Ivo Academy are celebrating with students as they achieve another set of brilliant A-Level results in 2026.

Teenagers across the country are finding out their results today, after sitting exams they took earlier this year in May and June. Young people have recorded excellent achievements at A-Level, with the students of Astrea Sixth Forms adding to this success. 

Staff in our Sixth Forms have worked incredibly hard to ensure their students were as prepared as possible for their A-Levels. In particular, the schools have excelled in their academic preparation and pastoral care of students. Students have received information from a wide variety of employers and universities, designed to inspire them to work hard and aim for their goals beyond Sixth Form. 

The extra support paid off, with many students achieving excellent results. Thanks to the hard work of both students and staff, there is lots to celebrate, with many students going on to take up places at university, or on an apprenticeship, as well as those who are entering the workplace.

Astrea Academy Sheffield

This is only their second year of A-Level results and they’re now placed in the top 10% of post 16 providers with an ALPS score of 2.

29% A* – A, and 54% of grades A* – B, 100% pass rate and an overall average grade of B-.

The hard work on UCAS applications is apparent as 29% of the second cohort have secured competitive Russell Group destinations.

Longsands Academy

Whilst celebrating the upcoming launch of their brand new renovated Sixth Form centre (see preview images below), their students have received some outstanding results, including:

  • Lucy Baker, who achieved three A*s, is heading to the University of Leeds to study chemistry and mathematics
  • Sophie Ostler, who achieved three A*s and an A, is going to University of Sheffield to study English and philosophy
  • Jonas Petrokas, who achieved one A* and two As, is going to the University of Warwick to study law
  • Oscar Keen, who achieved two As and one B, is heading to the University of Leeds to study ancient history and history
  • Jai Kotwal, who achieved one A*, one A and two Bs, is going to the University of Nottingham to study economics 

St Ivo Academy

We saw more fantastic results at St Ivo Academy, including:
